Dr. Joe Marcil has practiced in Virginia Beach for 27 years. He has extensive training in sports medicine, including the treatment and prevention of injuries to the shoulder, elbow and wrist. He has been certified in ART (Active Release Technique) and by the Titleist Performance Institute. He has extensive certifications in dry needling and dry needling under diagnostic ultrasound. He is a current member of the wellness team for the US Open Golf Championship and has provided chiropractic care to players and caddies on the PGA Tour.
He has special interests in pediatric chiropractic and care for expectant mothers. Dr. Joe has helped local high school, college, professional athletes and Navy Seals return quickly and painfree to their competitive levels.
Dr. Joe received his degree in biology from Boston University and his doctorate from The Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. He is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine and certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. As a college track athlete, he decided on a career in chiropractic after traditional medical care failed to address the cause of a training injury. Dr. Joe and his wife Jamie have 5 children including identical triplet daughters and two grandchildren.
